The Marion Heritage Center was originally a church building used by the Methodists from 1850s to 1875. Today it serves as a community center for educational programs, historical displays, art exhibits, and cultural events for audiences of all ages.
Completed in 1939, by artist Dan Rhodes, Communication by Mail, one of only three true fresco murals in Iowa is permanently housed at the Marion Heritage Center.
Gift items and meeting space for groups of up to 150 are also available.
Hours: Open year round 1- 4:00 p.m. Wednesdays - Sundays or by appointment.
Admissions: Adults $5.00 Youth (ages 5 - 18) $2.00 Members of Marion Historical Society are free.
